The History and Culture of Blues - 7pm Friday Class

The purpose of this class is to teach dancers about the history and culture of Blues dance and music, led by International Blues Dance Champion, Joe DeMers. Dancers sit around in a circle and have discussions on Blues history, cultural influences on the dance and music, music styles, music structures, musicians, dancers, book reviews, etc. They also get a complimentary drink, such as water, soda, and/or beer. The class is open to anybody, but keep in mind that we will NOT learn basic moves and movements of Blues dance.

We're starting a new Blues night in South Denver! Back Room Blues is community-run space where you play an integral role. Anyone can DJ. And everyone is welcome to dance. We have WCS in the main ballroom and Blues in Studio A. Feel free to cross over for both dances!
